Our Solar Kits range in capacity from 80 to 180 Watts. Quality designed for northern &

What's included in the kit?
Our Solar Kits include all the necessary components for a complete installation. What you'll receive is
the Solar Panel, Charge Controller, Wiring, Connectors, Fuses, Roof Mounting Brackets and instructions. All that's
needed is your properly sized inverter to run your AC appliances.
How do I know what size kit to purchase?
Your system size will be dependent upon your overall load or daily watt hour (W/h) appliance consumption.
A watt hour is a measure of power consumed over time; i.e. a 100 watt bulb left on for 10 hours is 1000 watt hours (100 x
10 = 1000) or 1 kilowatt hour (kWh).
We divide your total daily W/h figure by the nominal battery bank voltage (usually 12 volts for most
RV's, trailers and boats) to determine the daily amp hour (A/h) demand. You take this A/h figure and multiply it
times the number of days you require stored power. Multiply this figure times 1.2 to account for system defficiencies
and derating factors. Then divide this A/h figure by the battery depth of discharge (usually .5 for 50% to a maximum
of 80% or .8) to determine your overall battery A/h capacity.
The total A/h demand, peak sun hours and actuall battery A/h capacity will determine the number
of solar panels required to keep the batteries charged for when you need them most. If your RV, trailer or boat currently
has one or more auxilliary batteries, they should be properly sized for your total Watt Hour (W/h) demand
and have enough capacity to provide power for all your desired loads over a specified duration of time. Remember,
the greater the load, the larger the system size would be required. Of course, available roof space to mount the panel(s)
is also a determining factor.

Using MPPT Charge Controllers will let your solar panels work to their maximum power point and can increase it's output by as much as 30%.
Don't let the department store chains fool you. These kits are designed to not only keep your batteries charged but to
recharge them from a discharged state. Small wattage panels (under 50 Watts) just can't do this with larger Amp Hour
(A/h) demands. Keep in mind; the lower the wattage panel, the more you'll have to purchase just to keep up to your demand.
